Methodists United in Faith Staff
Senior Pastor Janet Pratt
Pastor Janet and her husband Mike have been serving the Lord in many ways most of their lives. Pastor Janet studies at the Methodist Theological School of Ohio and has been in pastoral ministry since 2012. Her passion is to “Make Jesus Known” to everyone in our community. They have two children who also serve as Pastors. Daniel is the Lead Pastor of Bethany Evangelical Brethren Church in Carlisle, PA and Hannah is currently serving at the St. John’s United Methodist Church near Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Janet and Mike approach ministry as a team working together with the ROC Youth Group, children’s ministry, outreach, missions and much more. They are firmly rooted in their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit and Father God, and they believe that the Bible is the undisputable inspired Word of God. They also hold that salvation comes through faith and faith without works is dead because Jesus is the way, the truth and the light.
Pastor Janet reminds us of one of her favorite verses, Psalm 46:10 God says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
We are pleased welcome our new Associate Pastor, Sally Bell
Pastor Sally Bell is a Certified Layservant whose home congregation is East Grove United Methodist Church in Franklin. She is in process to become a Licensed Local Pastor in spring.
Pastor Sally is a firm believer that, as the apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy, all scripture is inspired by God and equips followers for good works (3:16). Everything we need to know about life can be found in scripture!
Pastor Sally’s approach to ministry is scripturally based and she believes that congregants’ relationship with our Creator God is bolstered by education in the Wesleyan tradition.
Service is an integral part of Pastor Sally’s heart and ministry and she feels that God’s Word is most vital when considered in a Communion of believers and utilized as a call to service for others.
Pastor Sally lives in Franklin, Pa., with her husband, Rev. Dr. Drew Bell, pastor of East Grove UMC and Polk UMC, and their adopted son, Alex, who is a living, breathing example of God’s faithfulness.
Pastor Sally holds two degrees, a bachelor’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University, and an associate’s degree in veterinary technology from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. She spent much of her secular career in medical journalism.
An avid animal lover, Pastor Sally has worked as a veterinary technician in an animal shelter and in a veterinary office. Her husband, Pastor Drew, shares a love for animals, and in their home the family has three dogs, two bearded dragons, and a rescued wild rabbit!
Pastor Sally is humbled by God’s call to ministry and grateful for the courage to respond to it. To her, scripture is real, vital and exciting. Scripture is also most alive when shared in a community of believers, and Pastor Sally is excited to be on this journey with the Methodists United in Faith family!
